Godot Wild Jam #61 - Climb
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
ABOUT THE CONTEXT
This is the result of 6 days working on the theme of ascension during the godot wild jam #61. One rule, the diplomatic one, you can succeed without any violence.
ABOUT THE DEMO
This prototype is not completed nor polished as I would like. This is all about game jam :)
Main missing features and assets:
- tutorials
- scenario (dialogue to explain why you have to climb)
- animations (need a big improvement)
- inventory (object easing the climb as an ice axe, rope and so on)
- stamina mechanics (impacted by some objects); limiting the climb capability
- skills mechanics (more movement features)
- traps (falling stones...)
- sfx
SOFTWARES
Godot engine: game engine, coding thanks to GDscript
LMMS : main musical theme
Inkscape for all the assets (avatar, UI, environment and so on)

HOW TO SUCCEED
You will finish the level reaching the stone's torch.
If you are falling or jumping downward, take care about your Y speed. Too high and you have to start again the level. Areas can block your climb or making the vavatar falling down. So take care of your way and don't fall guys!
HOW TO PLAY
To play the demo:
Left and right keyboard arrows to move accordingly
Top and Down keyboard arrows to move accordingly
Control : to start climbing or landing when you are close enough the ground.
Space: to jump.
CONCLUSION
This is my first gamejam, and I trully enjoy trying to provide the player with the best demo. It's of course a bit frustrating not to be able to polish the level. Even if the demo is uncompleted, i hope you will enjoy your time.
